When we decided to seriously start the home buying process, we were aware that it might be stressful trying to purchase a new home within the hot seller’s market that is Los Angeles, but I don’t think anything could have prepared us for how competitive and cut-throat the market was in reality. With houses we were looking at having upwards of 45 offers and going for beyond 500K over asking, we quickly learned that we were in way over our heads. With Will’s expert guidance, understanding of the market and trusted relationships with other agents across every neighborhood we looked at on the Westside, we were able to navigate the complex and incredibly competitive LA real estate landscape with confidence and relative ease. We were able to get accepted on a house after only our third attempt making an offer, winning out over 21 other buyers who were aggressively bidding on the same property. Throughout the process Will and his team gave us amazing peace of mind – persistently getting intel from the sellers’ agents and scoping out properties in advance of open houses to try and uncover potential liabilities, bonuses and pitfalls to give us more data points to make a decision. Recognizing the huge emotional and financial burden of buying a house and our overwhelming fear of making a life crippling mistake, Will was able to instill us with the calm and confidence we needed to feel assured of the investment we were making, while putting us in the best position to have our offer accepted. Will’s team was also incredibly knowledgeable and responsive. Ashley de Harde in particular was an outstanding partner and collaborator, perpetually keeping us up to speed on market activity, gathering neighborhood intel and collecting information from the seller’s both before and during escrow. Although the escrow process in and of itself was no picnic, Will and his team were just as responsive, if not more-so, helping us navigate the mine fields between the bank, the seller, the appraisers and the inspectors.
